Voting Theory

Employ critical thinking skills, drawing upon prior knowledge when possible, to analyze and explore new and unfamiliar problems
1) Describe the relative benefits and shortcomings of the voting methods studied
Solve problems using algorithms or formulas
Communicate methods of solutions and solutions to problems for the clarity of the receiver.
2) Form a voting preference schedule from a set of votes, and
3) Apply a variety of voting methods to determine a winner of various elections
Identify multicultural perspectives of, or multicultural contributions to, at least one mathematical topic studied
4) Describe how community, culture, and context influence a community’s choice of voting method used
