Describing Data
The objectives for this week are: (listed after the course outcome(s) in italics they relate to)

Analyze and interpret data, including calculating numerical summaries and creating graphical representations, to propose possible implications
1) Construct a frequency distribution table from a set of data
2) Read values and identify their meaning for a histogram, boxplot, and pie chart
3) Compare populations by comparing boxplots or histograms
4) Calculate mean and median from a set of data and from a frequency distribution
5) Calculate quartiles and 5-number summary from a set of data and from a frequency distribution
6) Compare populations by comparing meaures of center (mean and median) and measures of spread (standard deviation and quartiles)
7) Express an opinion, properly utilizing calculated statistics as supporting evidence
